October 26 – Meditation Practice

According to the great masters and teachers of our planet, practicing meditation improves mental fitness, specifically awareness of reality, mental stillness, and concentration. I’m now practicing mediation each day for a minimum 5 minutes each day. I will practice over the next several months to meditate each day and to increase the duration each week. Once I am able to meditate for a least 30 minutes per day consistently over a month period, I will evaluate benefits to determine what my long term practice should be.

I’m I Bored by meditation? Well, since I do not practice it regularly I do not know. I read this “It is difficult for me to image anything more inherently boring than setting still for an hour with nothing to do but feel the air going in and out of my nose. I run into boredom repeatedly when I meditate. Perhaps everyone does. Boredom is just a mental state and should be treated as such – with flow. The reward of being patience and just letting go during these boring times present unsuspected outcomes, so I discipline myself to hang in there. God connectedness works in mysterious ways.”

I am thinking about practicing meditation as this is something people have been doing for many years to become mentally stronger.

Yoga thoughts – From a false perception of duality, conflict springs. I only fight with someone If I see them separate from myself. Today I remember belief in separation is the root to all suffering. I choose to see the other person view. No person is separate from myself.
