The Ocean

Imagine there is a puddle. When it rains, the puddle is filled with water. When it doesn’t, the puddle dries up. Now compare that to the ocean. The ocean is so deep, it doesn’t matter if it rains above or it is dry weather. Your inner depth should be as much as the ocean, so you are not fazed by the external praise or criticism. For that, you must truly do work that is meaningful to you, have love in your heart for others and help people. And when you achieve inner depth, the external world’s rewards won’t matter to you as much.

Regret
To feel sorry, disappointed, or distressed; A feeling of disappointment or distress about something that one wishes could be different.

Then Illumination
Through deliberation and mindfulness, we recognize regret is a wish for something which could have been different, but had to happen to grow in awareness. Once we recognize this, all feelings of distress and disappointment are let go. What emerges is the truth. The past is but a string of positive experiences.

We are advanced souls in many ways attributed to the number of regrets we have experienced.

illumination
The act of illuminating; The state of being illuminated; Spiritual or intellectual enlightenment; Clarification; elucidation.

We will have regrets. We will be unaware.

We will leave our regret behind. We will become aware.

Regrets hold us back, and prevent the most wonderful things from taking place in our lives.

To live in peace and joy, regrets will need to be eliminated as they arise.

Regrets occur when we are not illuminated by god connectedness as we feel, think, and act.

As we learn to be aware of god in all we do, we realize regrets are a debilitating illusion, unawareness.

Simply said, to eliminate regrets, be aware.

The phrase “Regrets are illuminations come too late” begs us to examine our regrets. When we examine such actions, we will relaize gods plan was there too, and the regret disappears.

We have the power to eliminate all regrets by being aware of god in all we have ever done, the present, and all we will do,

We have to be careful not to criticize or fight the mind, since it is normal to think, hear sounds, and feel sensations. The trick is not to grasp or reject them. Just leave then alone and let them come and go.

“Give us courage and gaiety and the quiet mind. Spare to us our friends, soften to us our enemies. Bless us, if it may be, in all our innocent endeavors. If it may not, give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temperate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving one to another.”
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894)
